Have you tried PH3's HDR in Falcom games? I've heard mixed opinions (there's even a renodx alternative) but I haven't seen it myself yet. Hard to believe Durante would botch this though.

I love Divinity 2. The back and forth between traditional arpg and dragon combat works surprisingly well. Elex was also pretty nice.

Why? You can enable arachnophobia mode in the options if that's the issue.
