Thanks to Research England's “Enhancing Research Culture Funding 2023-24” BioArCh has welcomed further visiting researchers this year to our Global South Programme, participating in scientific research in areas including digital heritage, archaeobotany, organic residue analysis and palaeogenomics.

We are delighted that the Department of Archaeology has reconfirmed its place among the world's most highly regarded departments for the study of Archaeology. The department was ranked 5th in the UK and =25th in the world by QS World University Rankings (2025). Well done all! Onward and upward.
