In one tumor, despite the shared oncogenic driver mutations, there may be different cell types

In collaboration with the Peng Lab we used Hepatoblastoma to investigate this.

Our results show that β-catenin can drive different transcriptional programs across cancer cell populations

A study led by @claudiocantu81.bsky.social show how the protein TBX3, key in early development, resurfaces in aggressive cancers – making them harder to treat.
New insights, new hope for targeted therapies.

We had previously shown that TBX3 and #WNT cooperate in limb #DevBio

We now have a shocking finding, just published in @pnas.org

TBX3 physically engages with β-catenin to drive metastasis genes in #ColorectalCancer (CRC)

Story time! We are excited to share our new Biorxiv pre-print which we hope will also find a home in a peer-reviewed journal soon: "GRHL and PGR control WNT4 expression in the mammary gland via 3D looping of conserved and species-specific enhancers"

GRHL and PGR control WNT4 expression in the mammary gland via 3D looping of conserved and species-specific enhancers
WNT4 is critical for epithelial side branching in the mammary gland. In both mice and humans, its expression is tightly regulated and restricted to hormone-responsive, mature luminal cells. Although g...
