-and made it easier to simply enjoy the process of engaging with art and imagery i liked, cause i knew i appreciated these things, but i felt intimidated by the idea of trying to replicate them. re-framing it as a process of immersing yourself in the things that matter to you did a lot for my drive

something that helped me was doing it less as an attempt to accurately recreate things and more as an excuse to observe different things more closely and just pick up on little details over time as I go. it sorta reduced the mental friction of drawing for me cause it shifted focus away from results-
