Of course, as a federal employee, he conveniently ignores Ethiopia’s refusal to implement Pretoria in good faith, downplays the grave threat from the Federal gov’t, while he himself tries to “shove down one’s throat” the delusion that Ethiopia represents a viable path. #Tigray needs a 3rd option. 2/

Last week, the Commission of Inquiry on #Tigray Genocide released a report documenting the wanton destruction of Tigray’s natural resources and environment by #Ethiopian and #Eritrean forces, estimating losses over $46 billion, with the forest sector hardest hit. 2/

Today, those sanctuaries lie in ruins, deliberately shelled by Ethiopian and Eritrean forces. Priests and worshippers have been executed, and ancient manuscripts and crosses, stolen from monasteries, sold on online marketplaces. Silence in the face of atrocity is complicity. 4/

Women and children starved to death. Entire villages erased. Soldiers told rape victims, “A Tigray womb should never give birth.” That alone removes any doubt about what this is. It is not a civil war, it is genocide: a state-sponsored attempt to destroy a Christian people and their culture. 2/
