I measure my stress levels about current events by the number of times I feel compelled to bake. Despite the hectic work schedule covering events, it’s also been a busy time in the kitchen. I learned to stress-bake during the pandemic. It’s therapeutic. This is PAN DE SAL, Filipino dinner roll.

At the SAG Awards, I spoke with Michael Urie about how artists respond to the times and the challenges of creating when the world around us in chaos. Also interviewed California Attorney General Rob Bonta who’s pushing mightily hard against the cruelties of the current White House occupants.

It’s difficult to find joy these days but that #SNL50 skit with Eddie Murphy playing Tracy Morgan delivered the laughs. So many hilarious bits all throughout tbh. Adam Sandler singing that tribute was surprisingly poignant, cathartic even. Thank you, SNL.
