Ultimately, the best thing to do is download your info and close your account entirely. I know that's not realistic for a lot of people rn, so if you do stay on, minimize your footprint by deleting the native apps and accessing them only on your computer with a more secure browser like DuckDuckGo.

You hit the nail on the head, honestly. All the "trad wife", "homestead", and "reject modernity embrace tradition" content online is another symptom of this too. There may be more of us who don't want this stuff, but we don't control the algorithms anymore.
