It doesn’t just look bad. I’m just glad the word is out to more than our country’s marginalized populations. Let someone else take the mantle of leader of the free world cause this ain’t it and hasn’t been for a long time.

In so many ways! I’m in North Carolina, the worst gerrymandered state where it was legally proven to be racist. Yet the corrupt here - where the people in power are allowed to ignore laws and put judges in place to reverse law enforcement against them - shows others it’s fine to do it elsewhere

Because he doesn’t pay bills. Not necessarily because they weren’t making money.

If he could, it would have already happened

@motherjones.com “protect white men from discrimination” is a weird narrative to have in your headline

They finally say the quiet thing out loud. Those numbers have always been this 👆🏾. I’ve been frustrated about these disingenuous economy reports since I made that connection in bschool over 20 years ago! Plus these never apply to marginalized communities in this country anyway.

This will come back to bite us, one way or another. I wouldn’t be surprised if the behind the scenes architect is the same. This history of the US constitution applying to some but not all, and the longstanding determination to interpret laws to suit that mission, is absolutely appalling.

Also, Jim Crow was always a background character of the movie. This scene aligned with the times for real. Even Annie predicted it was going to happen. You can also think of how he survived fighting one set of vampires to fight off another set of vamps.

I saw an interview with Delroy Lindo discussing the car scene with Slim, Stack and Sammie headed to get Cornbread. Fought to include the scene about his story bc it sets up the film especially the end. After my 2nd viewing, I saw the truth in that. Stack was listening!
