This was a much different show than I thought it would be. Really dark and bleak work. I have a number of complicated feelings on it though mostly positive.

honestly took way too long to finish this... I had a number of issues with vol4 and thankfully don't have that many here
but it also was just... fine
its got fun parts but otherwise didn't grab me much
Eruruka is alright but the best girls are just sort of absent this vol

the first few minutes of the show are just really fun and immediately grabbed me with how it was animated
the final zoom out shot at the end is really impressive as well

and man this show is actually pretty good looking
I started it since I saw comparisons to it and E7 (it was already on my list tho) and I kind of see it
But I was surprised at how good it looks

like the final few eps go in some questionable directions even if I get the intent
it was hard to not compared it to the new purplesoft game (comparisons between the two got me interested in the first place) and it was interesting to watch assuming that it was inspired by it

I can't say this is my favorite series or anything but there is some genuinely fantastic stuff about it and I feel it really finds its footing later in s1 and the movie and thankfully s2 doesn't lose that
I'm left with a feeling I should like it more but its still very good

it was gayer than I thought it would be but could be gayer
suffers due to being only a 6 ep show leaving some things less fleshed out
the villains in particular are just kind of lame and have flimsy ??? motivations
but mains are good and have a compelling relationship

this show has some really high highs
but unfortunately it mostly is just mildly entertaining which isn't a bad thing but I sadly expected more after a really fun first 3 eps
