How times have changed. The last time the U.S. government interfered in German politics was 80 years ago, to remove the nazis. Now the fascist government in DC interferes to protect a German neo-nazi party.
The 'tyranny' and 'extremism', it's all projection.

The US nowadays spends $500M/yr on Public Service Broadcasting. If that sounds like a lot, realize it's less than $2/capita/year. Trump is now going to slash that, because PBS and NPR are not biased in a way he likes.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Trump administration issues an order soon to rename the Transamerica Pyramid.

It doesn't matter if Trump is a Putin asset. What matters is he acts like one with every decision.

Happy International Women's Day, especially to my woman friends in the U.S., who are getting increasingly sidelined and marginalized.

In the not-so-distant future, historians will be puzzled how Russia managed to infiltrate the U.S. and get their man to be installed as President, but above all how on earth it was possible that millions of people didn't realize it at all.

Mooi stuk over de relatie tussen Antwerpen en Nederland – de stad, de nieuwe Burgemeester Els van Doesburg, en de vorige, nu Belgisch premier, Bart de Wever. Ook over orangisme en het Wilhelmus. 🇧🇪 🇳🇱

Why should the US should get the benefit of mining Ukraine's minerals and Europe bear the burden of protecting Ukraine? The US administration is treating Europe and Ukraine very unfairly.

Here's why European NATO members need to increase the defense spending: Americans have voted a nazi dictator regime into power and they've embarked on a conquest for Lebensraum. Now Germany and its allies will need to come to the rescue and save democracy.

Exactly what I've been saying for years: The second amendment is utterly pointless. Not only does it get invoked inappropriately all the time (by disgruntled employees, ex-husbands, etc.) – when a tyrannical government is installed they will not recognize it as such but applaud it instead.

The Grand Place in Brussels was awful in the seventies. I suspect it was improved longer ago than Delft.

Anyone considering downloading "RedNote" as an alternative to TikTok, note that 小红书 (Xiaohongshu or XHS for short) literally means "Little Red Book", the popular name for "Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-tung," published & distributed by the Chinese Communist Party during the Cultural Revolution.

I fully agree with this. On the other hand, if we side with Mexico and keep calling it the Gulf of Mexico, are we deadnaming the body of water?

I sometimes dream of an alternative reality where smartphones with horizontal orientation had become the norm and vertical video didn't exist. There is no real reason why smartphones should be vertical, even without a physical keyboard.
