I got some unexpected good news today. My oncologist appealed the decision regarding the medication that I want to be on and the insurance approved it today. It’ll probably be a week or so before I start it, but that approval makes things much more workable. 🐝🌻🌺

Starting my journey home but first my treat for dealing with the foibles of humanity.
No surgery for now(it sounds horrific🙄)instead I am going to try PT again coupled with a new brace. Crap. I wouldn’t mind a bit less drama but there is no use crying about it. Time to go to work.

I saw my oncologist yesterday. We have decided on a treatment option. It’s just trying to find the money to pay for it. There are other options to explore if that doesn’t work. So I just have to chill and wait. Try to adapt as best I can.

Doctor visit went well. Diagnosed with moderate to severe talonavicular osteoarthritis. Next step is to get a Cortizone injection directly into the joint to see if that helps. Now it’s time to go home.

I go back to Washington DC on March 11 and will be coming home the evening of March 12. I want to get home before the full effects of the chemo manifest. I have been told that they are relatively minor. Nevertheless, getting home is paramount.

Today went well. 22 tubes of blood,a biopsy and examinations by different doctors. It would’ve been easier if I wasn’t so exhausted. 🥱
