UK is not an energy island anymore. Left picture is more accurate but the right picture shows a lot of potential. If UK can access hydro in Scandinavia, geothermal in island, PV from Spain, Wind from Denmark etc. Storage need is reduced.

It's fuzzy, but I think we're currently experiencing the peak in global carbon emissions. The peak will not be pointy though, but a rather flat profile through 2025.

Mein Heizungsbauer hat gesagt, dass die Gasheizung irgendwann auf Wasserstoff umgestellt werden kann. Dass dies in meinem Landkreis erst 2040-2045 passiert, hat er nicht gesagt. Diese Karte der Gasnetzbetreiber sollten mehr Leute kennen.

It's a shame that wood as an energy source is increasing in share. Definitely get rid of fossils first, but it feels like a step backwards.
