Organised by Yoredale Nats (www.yoredalenaturalhistory.com), YNU held their 2025 AGM last Saturday. A good day was had by all, with 50 members attending and outgoing President Derek Whiteley's presidential address promoting the 'other' National Park in Yorkshire - the Peak District!

Freshwater recorder Ray Goulder has just published his new book 'Village Ponds in the Yorkshire Wolds', which you can purchase via place.uk.com. The book seeks to integrate the history of village ponds with their present-day role as
wildlife habitats and places for amenity and relaxation.
