Wrote a blog post about this and five mental models for thinking about AI: ymo.dev/prompts-vs-e...
Stop Learning Prompts, Build Expertise Instead
Most people optimize for better prompts when they should build expertise. AI is a multiplier. Without domain knowledge, there's nothing to amplify.

The trap is that people think AI is making them great when it's consistently making them mediocre.

They lack the skill to judge their own output, so they keep producing mediocre work thinking it's excellent. The cycle never breaks.

Good at: (1) making experts faster and (2) beginners competent.

Terrible at: bridging the gap, meaning taking someone from zero to hero.

This is because AI is essentially a multiplier of what expertise we already have.

Hope this helps anyone interested in taking the same path.

Heroicons are great but I think the slightly bolder strokes of Lucide pairs better with Geist (or even Inter).

I used to like the slight blueish feel of Tailwind Gray, but now I think neutral is more natural and easy on the eyes, especially in dark mode.

P.S
.: Zinc is also nice.

Vercel recently announced Geist and I absolutely love how it looks. Considering Inter is overused anyway, I think Geist can add a little more character.

For context, here is why. I love Prisma and cannot do without it. But I also need a UI/studio to work with my local and remote D1, which Prisma does not support but Drizzle does in a great way.
