I've been watching the new Ken Burns' series The American Revolution. All should watch it to be reminded of the messy, real struggle to bring America together, and that its hard won freedoms are worth fighting for to keep.

"Shopping around" consists of asking the cash price vs. the insurance price, and going from there. That is, if you don't urgently need treatment and can wait for the answers. There's no switching-back-and-forth between insurance. Time to send Cassidy a letter...not my first time.

Even Hawaii? Was just there. I would say they're a bit more than Seattle. Salad w/ protein and free water to drink, $28 including tax/tip. Seattle it's about $24. Gas was cheaper in Hawaii(!)

His Insta posts are fantastic insights to the cabal (never read any books he's written). So very disappointed he's all over those emails. It will be interesting to see how he comes out when all is said and done.

I was a tourist in Iran in 2016. As we drove through the barren, dry countryside, our guide (bravely) told us the trees had been removed decades prior and now there was ongoing drought. If they could plant the trees again, he thought it would be better.

WA state, King county - went from ~$400/mo to ~$1200/mo. $8k deductible. Bronze plan. Early retired. Will leverage HSA, if I can afford to, to lower taxable income. AG Income threshold will do me in, unless the stock market tanks in '26...and no one wants that either.

In my 21 years of voting in WA state (haven't missed ONE election), I had my signature checked once, after my name was legally changed and it didn't match the previous ballot. Easily resolved.
