That’s what I thought too when decided not to put the gps tracker in the bike bag this time.

Surprise snow storm closed the Tioga Pass Rd and I slept at the closed gate in Crane Flat. In the morning I noticed that the gate wasn’t locked. So pushed it open and drove to Lee Vining where police was waiting. Not only did I get a big ticket but they escorted me all the way back to Crane Flat.

We fly a lot with gear. Have had some tent stakes and hand warmers confiscated from carry on. Once airline lost our checked-in bicycles. But most of the time it’s fine and often the only option for the shorter trips.

The phone cameras are getting worse and worse. The new iPhone seems to be adding to the pictures some ai crap that is obviously not in the scene. And the lack of exposure time control makes them useless for photographing moving objects. Nokia was the last good camera.
