About 120 people in my community of less than 3K, county of less than 7K, turned out for the No Kings Protest. About 25-30 counter-protestors also showed up, but no violence happened and the city police were clearly in evidence. Sooooo proud of our small town!!

Got together this morning to greet cars coming into the HS/Jr. High. There is a movement afoot in little ol' Lemhi County to get a teacher fired for displaying students' flags (resulting from an assignment). One of them apparently had a little LGBTQ+ flair.

Hands Off Rally in little old Salmon Idaho gathered a turnout of over 80 people and by and large the horn toots, thumbs up, and fist pumps signaled a pretty positive response. Only 3-4 middle fingers and about the same thumbs down, and one person actually said "F_ck Off."

One of the women in my circle of friends noted that the Ten Commandments in classrooms might not be such a bad idea -- perhaps we could point out how our commander-in-chief has managed to break nearly all of them?
