irritatingly, the list of Al settings in Firefox has grown. to kill them all as of today (Nov 20, 2026), go into about:config and set all of these to false (yes, you'll have to copy and paste them one by one)

I once did this for an engineering education conference and used it since:
It shows a eInk that shows as last screen the current CO2, temperature, air pressure, and relative humidity. The air quality index was still error prone due to the burn in time of the sensors I used.

Gen AI is currently doing the tasks we feel “make us human” because the people who are selling it hate us. Art and culture are “those tasks capital hates.”

promises of automation have consistently produced new and more intense forms of labor exploitation at scale, displaced across time and space. It is critical to understand this because the “wrong direction” of AI implies that there is a correct site of labor displacement and ignores the fact that...

Indeed. I love that album. And I have a friend who used to look very much like the person depicted in the cover. Very intriguing

I would if that'd be possible. But not all carriers leave their parcels at the customs office. Having your own deferment account at German customs to get them at clearance there beforehands is a mess and impossible if you're not a company. At least not unless you have the needed registration numbers

that is a very good description, indeed. I would add, it's all of the above and a money-out-of-thin-air-machine for the tech oligarchs. That's where the hype cycle comes from. I'd even say, it's capitalism's essence: Value ascribed without a product, damaging humans and environment to a lagre extent

to the address they believe is wrong but isn't. No phone call attempt, no further email. Oh and being rude on the phone of course as well.
I curse that person who came up with the idea that mail services should be private companies. It's such a pain, ever was. I hate it so much

which of course gets sorted out to spam by that damn dumb phone that pretends to help me. I eventually spot it. Call their bloody number with no success until today when they tell me the parcel was returned to the sender due to two unsuccessful delivery attempts

November 19, 2025 at 7:24 PM
