If the Conservatives had brought this is, Labour MP's (and voters) would be going nuts right now. But the Red Tories do it and their MP's (and voters) justify it. There is no ideological difference between red and blue any more

This is THE greatest threat to mankind, yet any potential solution is so unpalatable that no government will take it up in fear of becoming unelectable.

Ultimately Ellie was never given the choice to sacrifice herself for the greater good. She was unconscious when they brought her in and made that choice for her. Would Joel have killed everyone in the hospital if Ellie had chosen?

As part of the dissertation, I also had to do a 15 minute presentation in a lecture hall and I remember so many lecturers being there. Probably not every lecturer, but it certainly felt that way. I was really nervous but I held my own and my verdict was quite damning.

I remember writing a final university dissertation putting science on trial as being "fat, lazy and corrupt" . It was based on science no longer being the pursuit of truth, but the pursuit of money.
