Last night I had the privilege of seeing @johncalvinabney.bsky.social again in the most amazing intimate venue located in Bentonville, Ark. JCA is one of the kindest, most genuine and talented artists in music. Thank you for giving this guy that music night I really needed esp “Evening Tide” 🥺❤️

@vandoliers.bsky.social I really love the creative direction this album went in. It shows so much versatility as a band. Musically the band sounds as tight as ever. Lyrically Jenni Rose sings about very emotional topics. Best album to date and mine came yesterday. Haven’t been able to put it down.

One of the most influential groups of my lifetime who in HS I grew up to their music starting with ‘Yo Bum Rush The Show’ and beyond. In Chi-town saw them a few times at the UIC Pavilion yo. Wild to think Chuck is 64 and Flav is 66. They still got it. This surprise album is dope af.

One of the best albums that will be released in 2025. An absolute masterpiece with flawless storytelling and imagery. Listened to Ian for well over a decade and this is his very best. Too often the best albums aren’t mentioned so I’m informing y’all. Get on board 🚂 💨

Such a great album start to finish as all their albums were no matter Centro-matic or South San Gabriel. Father’s Day weekend means I get the aux. I’m going in on one of the best bands ever in music. Turn it 🆙

Most music fans out there do not know how many albums My Politic have released in total. Very honored to say I have physical copies of all of them. Really have enjoyed listening to their musical evolution over the years and getting to know them. No one like them in music.

As making a top albums list yearly is 100% subjective and every individual’s own opinion……I choose to make a most preferred list yearly. That is to say the albums I prefer to play the most often. These two are locked in at #1 and #2 for 2025 w/o question. Couldn’t be better for Yimmy Kil y’all!

Been connecting with these songs for some time now. All of them are stunning. I however think these two are as relevant today as they were during the pandemic and just after it. Artists who speak passionately about the truth are my favorites.

An artist I wish more knew of and listened to. One of the very first that pulled me into the folk/americana genre well over a decade ago. Some of my very favorite storytelling with masterful wordplay. Lyricists like this do not grow on trees in music 😎

One of my go to albums during the pandemic that came out in 2020. All Birdfam does is top notch as they are one of my fav bands in music.

A favorite songwriter of mine from the last 10 or so years Ian Fitzgerald is putting out a string of unreal singles right now. Can’t wait for this next one. Attention to detail and vivid imagery in all of his lyrics.

Seen John Moreland quite a few times since around 2015. These have always been two of my fav live albums to spin on the back deck in the fall or early spring.

This album straight up keeps blowing my mind with just how great it really is. I never really overthink the instrumentals as I focus on the words with almost all albums I prefer. However this album and all of WJ’s…the instrumentals really are equal in every way to the lyrics. Such a rare trait.
