Private Equity owns less than 10% of homes in the US. The problem is terrible Sing Family Zoning laws that plague every town, city, and state. We need more density and Mass Transit.

You have built close to no housing, private AND public. Stopping the flow of real estate transactions in your city should be a crime. Get serious: repeal exclusionary zoning, throw away Prop 13, & let people build. You further distorting the housing market makes it HARDER to build public housing.
