He/ she/ they. I follow comics and news, but review books I listen to at work.
Read that as Led Zepplin at first and was confused

As in, one surprise visit from an inspector away from being shit down. Do yourself a favor and say no to “nowheresville family restaurant.”

Ooo shoutout to the Great Wolf Lodge, just a couple hours south from my house!

I’ll still finish it and everything, but this morning I saw #TheEyeoftheBedlamBride %80 off and jumped ship. I also have a fellow #dungeoncrawlercarl fan joining my #dnd game, so I can talk to him about the book.

It’s great so far! :D

We really didn’t need the Neil Gaiman intro story about a boy in England reading Elric. It went nowhere & at first I thought it was some kind of real biography.

God got really salty and promised food for them to eat until it “came out their noses” so he conjured up piles of fish and when people were eating god smote the fuck out of those ingrates. Holy shit.

“Mana from heaven” eventually got pretty gross. Folks wanted real food like garlic, fish, cucumbers and real meat so much Moses was like “god please kill me now your food really sucks”

The Good Book is shaping up to be an it’s-so-bad-it’s-good book if it didn’t have irredeemable pacing and accessibility issues. Hopefully tweeting (?) the funnier bits will make it go easier. Pray for me pls.

I really liked and empathized with Bea. I hope she comes back and has a redemption arc. I hope her purpose wasn’t to be a cheap stand-in for the nerdy reader’s ex to score vicarious torture points.

Stories of unflappable ubermench with power armor is one thing (and that’s on me, I understand most 40k books are about them), but I really liked the ones about poor navigator Fred who loses his faith due to demons and aliens beyond our ken. The real small-scale horror stories I liked best.

Yeah I understand, most of my lit comes from audiobooks as I drive so I’m unable to re read anything. With harder books it’s like I’m attending a college lecture that’s way over my head & I just let it go wash over me like a verbal river lol
