conroy passed away peacefully this morning. i got a final chance to hold him, give him kisses, tell him how much i love him, and thank him for everything. i already miss him so much and am so grateful he was a part of my and my family's life. i don't know where i'd be without him.

i got to see conroy. got to snuggle up with him and pet him and kiss his little head. he's always been renowned for being a feisty sharp boy... tonight, he didnt draw out his claws or his teeth a single time. he just pressed his head into me and purred loudly. he's so unwell. ive cried all night.

something brighter: there’s been ladybug pupas growing in one of our trees. they started emerging from them this week. i managed to get pictures of a freshly hatchec guy today. it’s nuts how much they change over a few hours

on our way to our car after picking oz up, we saw SO many crows flying by. it was literally hundreds of them, a steady stream of them going inland from the westside, with stormclouds and sunset at their backs. kit and i were in total awe. pictures couldnt do it justice but i still tried

once again, oz has proven his proficiency at sneakily eating things he shouldn't. kit and i just spent all day at two (2) emergency vets. he has to undergo surgery tonight to have an intestinal blockage removed. please send him good vibes!!! we're so worried about him.

today is bigby’s 11th gotcha day, so i’m gonna celebrate by posting some art.
i first sketched this in april, using a selfie with him as reference. have been working on the lines and cross-hatching in recent weeks. it’s been nice to slow down and think of him.

i met bigby 11 years ago today. this was the first picture i ever took of him. he was tremendous. we became pals immediately.

it's been 6 months since bigby passed... he's left behind a yawning void in our lives. i keep thinking of him as i face some of my life's greatest challenges, how easily he could make me laugh and relax after the hardest days. his memory helps keep me afloat. we all love you and miss you, huge man.

we have to take toast in to an internist within the next couple of weeks. they're suspecting it's IBD or cancer. the ultrasound showed inflammation in her intestines, asymptomatic kidney stones, and that there might also be pancreatitis. it's been a sad and scary 18 hours.
