I’m a working mom. I’m so busy I really shouldn’t be taking the time to scroll on Bluesky. But here I am, seeking solace and community in light of the recent election.
This makes me laugh. There are no centuries from now…not with us in them anyways. History books won’t matter to whatever life form comes next.

I wasn’t optimistic about the future of humans before Trump 2.0, now I’m just trying to make the most of what’s left.

My whole sense of reality is shaken. I. Can’t. Take. Anymore.

Fantastic story!

I worked in a cheese factory a long time ago and we packaged store brands back to back with name brands. I’m sure that’s not always the case, but I bet it happens more than we are aware.

They are too lazy to think things through.

They give commands and want other people to figure out how to make it happen. When they can’t, they switch up what they said they said. It has to be exhausting being part of MAGA.

what’s going on,
they laugh ‘cause they know they’re untouchable,
not because what I said was wrong” Sinead O’Conner - The Emperor’s New Clothes

She was an amazing song writer

They’ve sure picked an odd way to prove out the value of democratic policies.

This is horrific.

This is the argument for Social Security. Markets aren’t reliable.

I haven’t felt safe since I saw Fox News for the first time in the early 2000s. I’ve watched the slow tsunami pull in waves of people. I think a lot of us have seen this coming. Now it’s here. Unfortunately, so is climate instability, disaster stacking, and government ineptitude.

Drowsy Don looks a little yellow and unstable.

I personally don’t like it when my kids are sick. We were in a small town once and my youngest came down with a fever after all the stores closed. We didn’t have any Tylenol. He was shaking when I took him to the ER. It was scary and we were only there a short time.

I hate that you are right. I didn’t want to fully commit to that reality.

And the need for those programs is likely going to increase.
