this was my fourth time celebrating ramadan and it was by far the hardest. attempting to remain positive and reflective when so much pain and suffering occurs in our country and across the globe resulted in a heavier toll on the heart than before.

Can’t overemphasize the importance of toasting your spiced rice BEFORE cooking it. First and second pick are the exact same ingredients but the second was taken after 3-4 minutes of toasting.
