The 2026 YFNED Indigenous Post-Secondary Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 22 at the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre! Registration will be opening in January and travel subsidies are available. We’ll have more information to share in the coming months 🎓

Our Early Years Whitehorse December calendar is now out and the theme is snow! ❄️ Our team be getting ready for the holiday season with sock snowmen, bird feeders, our last parenting workshop of the year and more before we close for the holidays between December 22 and January 5, 2026.

Our last Family Feast of the year is happening this Saturday! Whitehorse-based families with Indigenous children aged 0–18 are invited to come and celebrate at the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre between 12 and 2 pm. We’re serving an Asian-inspired menu with a holiday season twist. Arrive ho-ho-hungry!

YFNED and the CCOE delivered an incredible presentation this week on the world stage at WIPCE. Over 100 delegates from around the globe, gathered to hear the story of how the CCOE, YFNED, and FNSB, are transforming education in the territory so that our Indigenous kids can thrive.

On October 21 & 22, YFNED Math Advocates worked alongside FNSB staff to deliver a Math Camp at Johnson Elementary School in Watson Lake. Students from K-7 visited the camp twice over the two days to take part in fun, active, challenging, and hands-on math activities.
