I’m a big fan of Daggerheart and love to see the wave keep going, but I’m a big fan of you guys doing the games with less of an immediate spotlight on them. It’s nice to be able to look at a new book and be able to hear how it’s played!

I was under the impression a jumanji is when the game comes out into our world and an isekai is when we go into the game/other world. Robin Williams is Isekai’d in jumanji before he’s jumanji’d out into a jumanji situation in Jumanji. The new Jumanji is just a regular isekai.

That makes sense! I was digging through some of the other domains after reading through and thought Grace would be a great Loki-inspired option and Blade/Bone for more grounded/less “magic” options.

Thank you for taking the time to answer! I’m sure you’re right on 4 players being a sweet spot, 3-4 tends to be where I’m able to balance all players the best! I just thought it would be nice to have all of the traits represented, to round out potential character concepts.

Amazing! The only thing that would make it better is two more subclasses for the remaining two traits: Strength and Agility!

How did you come to a decision on which domains to allow for the class?

Just gave it a read through and it’s incredible! It has a solid gameplay loop, a clear ending phase like Drylands, and really takes the system mechanics to heart as it builds out the setting! This is absolutely the type of content people have been asking for!

I’ve been watching until break on Thursdays and then picking up where I left off when it gets on YouTube on mondays. It at least makes it a liiiiiittle easier to digest.

I’ve also bounced off the 4 hour episodes several times, but I’m giving it a shot with this campaign. My biggest complaint so far has been the wake. It genuinely feels like sitting through an actual wake in real time and believe it or not, that’s not fun to watch haha.

The weapon mastery change was super refreshing, and the monk changes really made them easier to play at lower levels

And things to interact with throughout combat. I feel the biggest hit in terms of tactics and strategy is the simplified status effects. They only have a few status effects so you can’t stack several buffs or debuffs on characters.

The range increments provide distance descriptions that you can easily translate over into normal squares. Once you do that it feels like quicker, less sticky dnd. As someone else said, it tends towards TotM more than Draw Steel does. There are environment effects to add a little more tactics
