if only because if there was more, there'd be more of a chance I could wrestle more, because I don't think I'm that rusty, in all honesty. I still got my dexerity with such, a lot of it, and such.

Anyway, there was a weird part of my childhood, lol.

and the closest I got to wrestling anyone again was in middle school, when I wrestled others standing for a bit in gym classes (forgot to mention, I also wrestled in elementary school classes sometimes, too).

It's one thing that makes me sad there's not much wrestling here in Norway, (cont.)

but it wasn't until third or fourth grade when I actually managed to do wrestling and I actually got quite good at it, and I managed to wrestle many of the kids who went against me off the stick.

Sadly, by my teenage years, I wasn't wrestling anyone anymore (cont.)

that wipped. Anyway, I really wanted to wrestle the older kid that was wrestling off the other kids there, but I just ran into him when I got on and got wrestled off myself.

My teachers tried to get me to do things to actually wrestle him and other kids who got to stand on the stick, (cont.)

Here's a funny little story: I wrestled as a kid. Yep.

In my very first recess in elementary school, one of the things I saw was that other kids were fighting each other on what they called a "vippepinne" (aprox. "wip stick"), which was a playground device made of four or more plank things (cont.)

@protonjon.bsky.social Hey, Claire, I have this for you! It's a parody of the Norwegian Christmas carol "O Christmas, With Your Cheer". Arrangement by Lars Kilevold, from "Casper and Emma's Wonderful Christmas". (This song is a joke, TW: suggestive content).

Seriously, there is a good market for this stuff, especially with how kids often feel. While Nordic kid's stuff, like some of the Casper and Emma movies seemingly do stuff like that, it doesn't feel nearly as strong to me; too childish, mainly.

Please make more of these, people.

Sometimes, I think, we need more kid's dramas. It seems like only German-speaking countries want to do it that much, and even then, not so much nowadays.

Sure, stuff like Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood tries to do that, but the drama there is so sugar-coated that it doesn't feel that dramatic at all.

I think "Casper and Emma's Wonderful Christmas" (a Norwegian kid's movie) has a problem with single parenthood.

Let me explain: in the movie, Casper has to go to Emma's house, because Emma's in a single-parent family, or else her Christmas won't be pleasant.

Think about that for a bit.

In sixth grade, I watched the 1925 version of Ben-Hur. I even referenced it in class once as 'a movie about [the time] before Jesus was born'.

This gives me the theory that the Japanese respect foregin works more than their own.

Every anime adapation of foregin works that I've seen (World Masterpiece Theater, the nineties Moomin anime, Secret of Cerluean Sand, et al) are well-written, decently acted and doesn't have overbearing sounds or visual styles.

Now, compare that to most other anime, who are the opposite.
