Librarian, archivist, big fan of nature, and a would-be poet. This year, I’m channeling angst into learning to bake bread.

She/her/hers

Nolite Te Bastardes Carborundorum.
This is so relatable. I wish they’d listen. I never used to fear blood draws, but now….

Same. I used to be easy but a major illness wrecked my veins. What a transition. It sucks, doesn’t it?! The memories of the easy draws will always linger 🥲

Thanks for providing the date. It’s a good article, but we can’t be circulating it like it’s current. That makes Americans who are against deportation look sloppy and uninformed.

They say that the Brothers Karmazov by Dostoyevsky contains a subtle argument for belief in God despite the cruelties of the world. I’ve read it twice and I don’t get it. But I’m glad some other people read it and find something between the lines.

I had the same experience! I was terrified when I cancelled my Amazon prime. I’d had it for 18 years! And I’ve been fine. It’s shocking. I also learned that my payment info gets hacked less frequently when I don’t have Amazon prime. Go figure.

Thank you for this. As a millennial who attended college in an era where it was literally impossible to work enough hours at minimum wage to pay for school (let alone food/rent), I had no choice but student loans. I appreciate my fellow citizens who supported me via nonpredatory federal loans

I love how conservatives in my adult life have gone from “maybe if you eat nothing but rice and beans you can buy a house” to “maybe if you eat nothing but rice and beans you can survive Great Depression 2”
