Yup. There's always this notion, especially growing up, that 'your disabilities shouldn't hold you back'. It's a nice sentiment, but that mentality doesn't allow you to stop when you need to/should, until it's too late. When unlearning, I've often felt that I'm grieving parts of myself

Intentionally or not, we dehumanise those who are unhoused/begging/on the streets.

This is a consequence of a capitalist structure, encouraging people to view these people as lesser,perpetuated by media and government - people should just work harder/can't manage money/look poor/crackheads (2/3)
