4. We got an auto response back that restated the 10 month wait and repeated info from the warning on the website. The auto response also told us not to email again or our wait time for a response would be restarted. It’s been 4 months and we still haven’t received a response.

3. After booking the appointment we emailed the inquiry contact on the website to ask what this appointment would look like. Would we be able to leave with our documents in hand? Would the change still be 10 months from this appointment? Critical info we needed to make informed choices for safety.

2. We weighed our options, did some research and found there was a new option to make an appointment in person in Tumwater. We snagged the first appointment available in mid March hoping this would save us from loosing custody of vital records our child might need in the coming year for 10 months.
