I can think of few more powerfully anti-fascist books than Genzaburo Yoshino's How Do You Live? (trans Bruno Navasky).

Today I’m reading “Ito Return to Japan and Finds Herself in a Real Pinch” by Hiromi Ito (yes, more-or-less the same Ito), trans. Jeffrey Angles, via @wwborders.bsky.social.

It’s something like a stand-alone essay that’s also part of the book The Thorn Puller, one of my absolute favorite novels.
