This morning @janetdaby.bsky.social MP, Mayor @brendadacres.bsky.social , cllr @kpowell01.bsky.social, PCSO James Miners and myself were speaking to businesses on Hither Green Lane to provide reassurance about public safety in Hither Green. We’re here to listen to concerns of the community.

This afternoon, Hither Green Councillors and Cllr Will Cooper, Cabinet Member for Better Homes, held a special housing surgery at Brindishe Green School for parents & careers who need housing support. We’re always looking to support our constituents where we can.

It was great to attend the annual Further Green Road street party w/ @kpowell01.bsky.social @janetdaby.bsky.social & @cllrmarkingleby.bsky.social this year. Residents here have a wonderful community spirit and are intentional about creating an inclusive environment - they are the best of Lewisham!

There’s so much to do at Hither Green festival. From face painting, eating artisanal goods by Ed Baker or fusion food by Last Outpost, to buying diffusers and candles by Natural Elements, or even listening to live music & sun bathing on the grass - there’s something for everyone!

@cllrmarkingleby.bsky.social and I were glad to stop by the Hither Green festival yesterday. It’s great to see the Hither Green community out, along with so many amazing local Lewisham businesses. I left with a bag full of food, drinks and household items!

🏡 102 new affordable homes in Hither Green!
