Jon, did you see the Houthi missile that misfired and landed in Sanaa. Any information on the damage it caused? It landed in a residential neighbourhood but not sure of the damage it caused. I haven't investigated that yet.

detention of UN personnel by the Houthi terrorists in North Yemen. The international community must shame the Houthis and hold them accountable for their violations and reject the Houthis’ weaponization of aid, and the use of threats and kidnappings as a bargaining chip.

2/2 Meanwhile, #Beijing has quietly secured safe passage deals for its own vessels and offered tariff exemptions to the group. Classic case of saying "neutrality" while enabling proxy warfare through military-civil fusion enterprises. The Red Sea crisis now serves Chinese interests at minimal cost.

The Ras Issa strike may not end the war, but it has clarified something important: the cracks in the Houthi narrative are growing, and many Yemenis aren’t buying what they’re selling anymore.

Forth, Houthis threatened to retaliate on Israel. The rhetoric is not new, nor is it brave. It’s bluster, meant to deflect from the reality that the Houthis are losing ground, not gaining it. It’s a familiar formula: perform militancy abroad, suppress at home.

Third, the response from the Houthis follows a pattern. Gruesome images are circulated not to humanize the dead, but to sanitize the regime. The aim is to cast themselves as victims, while continuing to silence dissent, profit from chaos, and position themselves as the face of resistance.

Second, this is not to say that Yemenis lack empathy and are careless about what is happening. In fact many academics and watchers condemn the loss of life and civilian infrastructure, but they also acknowledge #Houthis' brutality & control that must be addressed,

First, Many Yemenis are indifferent to what happened because they’ve lived under a system where #Houthis turned Ras Issa into a toll booth for war. Fuel shipments were taxed & diverted. For those living under this reality, the strike felt less like an injustice and more like a long-delayed reckoning
