Rather than standing in solidarity with queer Palestinians (who most certainly exist), they centre themselves and, in so doing, appropriate their struggle. They then weaponize their struggle against them by using it as justification for indifference to or support for a murderous apartheid state.

My solidarity is not transactional, nor is it dependent upon me agreeing with or being liked by the people to whom I am extending our solidarity. It’s especially infuriating when other queer people use supposed homo/transphobic violence as their rationale for not supporting Palestinians.
