"We used to host many gatherings for the flock, but as the songs grow more distant, I now get to visit with Acorn quietly, the breeze and his feathers brushing softly against my own." #peachtober25brush

Many thanks to @semiahmooarts for sharing with me a tent at the White Rock Farmers Market last weekend! Slowly working on a sweet little cormorant painting 😊

I sent my sad frog to this show thinking maybe they wouldn't like to show butt in public, but sad frog got in! 😆

It could be fun to be a fly on the wall next to so many fine and traditional artworks... Join me?

Throwback to this cute dog portrait I had the pleasure of painting earlier this year. I love being able to add a bit of colour to the world!

This year's Petite theme is probably going to be "Special Delivery Part Two" after all, because it was about making the world kinder and brighter, I think there's still a LOT of work to do on that 😅

If you could create an encyclopedia of your life and interests, what would it contain?

I keep trying to reason myself out of this persistent anxiety where I'm always afraid to show up to my scheduled events out of fear that I'd be forgotten and told to go away.

Well, well, well, guess what happened today lol

I love keeping a garden, even though I don't have the correct light for one. 😅 I guess I just like to see all the little changes day by day, as it feels truly alive.

So even if my blueberry only gives me three blueberries this year, I will cherish them like a gift!

You finally get out of work, you find a cute bug, and perhaps that bug happens to lead you to the South Surrey Rec Centre, and maybe you'll dare to go inside and see the new cafe?

Oh yeah, there's some art in there too, I guess.
June 7 - July 1 in the Turnbull Gallery!

Patreon mail day! Here's a drawing of a peony after a rainstorm.
I was waiting alone outside and had the urge to scroll on my phone. instead, I got lost in ambient sounds: gutters dripping, wind chimes tinkling, trees whispering, crows cawing their warnings. Surprisingly nice to be bored for a bit.

Local friends, the Surrey Arts Centre is a fantastic place to get together for a bit. Very peaceful, air conditioned, full of art. There's a gift shop, a theatre, and a whole garden to walk through in the park just outside 😊 And you can vote for your favourite art!

I recently painted a bird who makes whimsical keys that will never open any doors, but the painting wasn't real enough for me. I hoarded all these found treasures for years, why not try assemblage? This is way better!

What goofy thing am I up to 🤔

Several years worth of silly items I regularly tuck into my pockets and then promptly forget about...

New video up! Spending the perfect day shopping, snacking, painting plein air on the Sea Wall in Vancouver BC 😊

Overlooking the yellow crayon factory, of course.

Thanks for coming out to the White Rock Farmers Market! Turned out to be a lot more sunshine and smiles than were in the original forecast 😊. It was oil pastel day and I couldn't resist a little colouring!

Finally got around to mounting this canvas panel onto a wood one so that I can actually hang it on the wall

I'm going to battle the ocean breeze at the White Rock Farmer's Market for the first time this year, yahoo! Always excited to hang out and paint, and pick up all my scattered stickers and postcards after a sudden gust. You know, festival things.
