unapologetically & radically in support of reproductive justice, a living wage, labor unions, and the rule of law
I only lived there for eight years, but I also got 22 of 25; I think you just need to know a lot about NYC?

This was Charlie Kirk’s “way, in case Ezra needs a refresher.

What does the ABA (a voluntary professional organization) have to do with the NY State Bar Exam? Should the American Medical Association be sued if something similar happened during the USMLE?

The ABA is a voluntary professional organization. It doesn’t license attorneys. That’s left up to the state bars.

Try eBay or just keep an eye out at thrift stores; you’d be surprised what crosses your path.

I’m not sure if you’re speaking specifically about @petridishes.bsky.social or about the genre, but Alexandra Petri came to The Atlantic from the WaPo via the Harvard Crimson. It’s a tad bit insulting to write her work off as a ploy for street cred.

Gen X here. I don’t think they even sold water bottles then. We had Thermoses but they were for bringing things like soup for lunch & there was definitely no liquid allowed in the classroom.

Plus, if you had to ask for a bathroom pass (and could be told no!) you wanted to limit your intake.

Not true. New Braunfels, for example, flooded in 1998 (a “500-year-flood”) and 2002 (a “250-year-flood”). San Antonio & Austin flooded in 2013, Bexar County in 2015, Llano in 2018. The death toll is much higher now, but climate change is accelerating, so we can expect that to continue.

It’s an ad hominem attack, plain and simple. Any Logic 101 student can tell you that’s the lowest kind of attack… especially when there are 237 billion other reasons to criticize them, starting with the ostentatious display of wealth.

Add in the misogyny and it’s even more disgusting.

The ABA (a similar member-based organization) has made several public statements and filed a lawsuit.

And this is something that will arguably have a much greater impact on people than the things the ABA is fighting the government over.
