Anyone else feel like American politics has become some poorly written modern day version of GoT?

I grew up with the knowledge that older generations rigged things in their favor. That pulling things like social security after they're done with it would be their final middle finger to us. Never did I think that they would also burn democracy and our country down on their way out.
