They were 3rd in forced fumbles. How does these two things happen? Kinda simple, Jets were behind so much this season that opposing teams ran the ball so much against them. It's not as crazy as it seems.

I'd be shocked if it wasn't one of the 49ers guys and bringing Mac Jones with them at this point. I don't like it but that's where my mindset is.

To be fair, I said a year ago to tear it down and if you didn't, they'd be in this spot. I just know with $120m+ dead cap, 29 FA's and not much spending space, a new HC will be ripped for a situation they can't control. Rather McDaniel suffer. By no means am I saying keep him long term.

2026 is a dead season for Miami so why not keep McDaniel? Give new GM a year to get acclimated and plot moves, find a QB and get a draft under him building the defense. Then bring in a new QB/HC. Any coach for Miami in 2026 is going have a rough year and be scrutinized. Rather it be him than new HC.

I'll even further say it shouldn't. Who are you going to get to come in to run a team with $125m dead cap and Ewers as QB1? Ride out McDaniel for 1 year as you look for a new QB. Next year is a dead season.

I mean if you get Willis then yea, you have both. But you also going into the season with both guys knowing that Willis is QB1. Imo, he has done enough to get starter money and can pick his spot where he is the QB1. And I imagine there are up to.....10 teams I think, he can go start for

Fair assessment. Obviously, imo, Malik isn't an option given the dead money about to hit from Tua and a team eill have to pay Malik a Darnold type contract. If anything, Ewers willbe a fine stop gap for two years while Miami resets will the salary cap issues.
