I guess one question is whether these young men have any other employment opportunities. Probably the answer is not really. I keep thinking how much better things could be if they could do more productive things, rather than what they’re currently doing, which is destroying society and themselves.

The 2nd avenue subway cost $2.5B per mile, the most expensive subway line in the world. Something is wrong with the MTA and I wonder whether continuing to reward it with infinite funds is actually helping.
