Out of all of the admin officials named, the only one who *might* not want to sell out Ukraine in service of Russia is Rubio.

This must be the least competent administration in US history. Bunch of idiots.

The money from tickets and TV deals is often peanuts compared to the expenses. It's a money hole that does nothing to enhance educational outcomes.

When looking at a university's budget and Admin and Athletics are the most expensive 2 departments, you've got the problem laid out for you right there.
November 22, 2025 at 1:46 PM
Athletics is a huge money sink. Often the stadiums are paid for by taxpayers and the rest is paid for by student tuition and fees. Despite the persistent belief that college sports make money, there are only a few schools in the whole country that actually run a surplus from tickets and TV deals

If you've got a 401k then you're a shareholder, sort of! The actual shareholder is a fund that controls your retirement money and the money of millions of others without any of you having any knowledge of or input on the investments being made with your money! Hooray!
November 21, 2025 at 11:56 PM
Yeah, agreed. Companies need to have a real fear of regulation for this kind of argument to work, though, and that's sadly missing in the US.

It's a publicly traded company. Shareholders could actually sue him if he made a public statement about intentionally reducing income/growth.

I pretty much get the Waymo statement. Self-driving cars will eventually reduce the accident rate astronomically, and even self-driving cars that are much safer than humans will get into accidents sometimes if enough of them are on the road. Waymo is already safer, at least within their geofences.

Europe is going to have some brutal winters if the North Atlantic Ocean current breaks down, which it, uhhh, very well might within a few decades if we don't reverse global warming.

I'm sure they'll all love being separated from their families and spending 12 hours on a plane each way so they can stand around in Washington DC and say hi to people. Maybe pick up some trash.

Betting markets are rapidly becoming a more direct option than stocks for decision-makers to profit from inside info. Polymarket, Kalshi, etc need to be banned for Congresspeople (and preferably for all humans).

But Andrew Jackson (Trump's idol) existed. I doubt he'll eclipse the Trail of Tears.

He's giving GW Bush's body count a run for its money via the haphazard and sudden cuts to lifesaving international aid and public health funding.

Boy, sure sounds like a good use of taxpayer dollars
November 17, 2025 at 11:39 PM
Florida, Texas, and Louisiana are by far the largest recipients of FEMA dollars, so this childish "leave it to the states" approach will hurt reliably red states the most. Flood insurance, disaster recovery, etc are best handled by a larger risk pool. United States should act united.

Not sure how the defense of a real sovereign state from a real invasion has anything to do with whatever fantasy world you're imagining.

Taiwanese people already have self determination and a functioning democracy. China is a dictatorship. How naïve would you have to be to think that China would give Taiwanese self determination? You even have a glaring recent example in Hong Kong.

Donald Trump Jr. will shortly be given a stake in the scam compound business and the investigations will disappear.

Not sure how one could fawn so hard over a crazy person who looks like an old leather jacket crumpled on the floor but I sure am repulsed by it.

He's just a dumb guy, just like all of the billionaire class. He uses the calculus term "derivative" like 10 times in this interview to try to make himself sound smart. You need only to listen to their words to know that billionaires are products not of intelligence but of access and narcissism.

Hell, a whole network of right-wing social media personalities was revealed to have been directly funded by Russia and they just said "oh woops didn't know" and now they're special guests at every White House press event (Tim Pool, Benny Johnson, etc).

His admin believes, correctly, that many Americans are stupid enough to fall for that.

The Dunning-Kruger effect. The less that a doofus knows about something, the simpler they believe that it must be.
