Speaking of Digimon—when Pokemon and Digimon (anime series) were imported in China they were called, literally, Fantastic Babies and Digital Babies. There’s some nuanced understanding of human-monster/animal relationship here.
The Digimon Story: Time Stranger demo is GOOD STUFF: store.steampowered.com/app/1984270/...

It's such a leap from Cyber Sleuth, not only in presentation but also in quality of life features & difficulty. High chances of becoming the best Digimon game ever (nostalgia for Digimon World aside lol)

The “ultimate” history sadly doesn’t include most regions in the world. That gives us our own work to do.
Steven Kent’s Ultimate History Of Video Games was the first book most of us read on the topic, as for a long time it was the most comprehensive and most widely available. But it was also filled with errors, which Ethan has attempted to catalog in the link below. Think of it as the Annotated Kent.
It's finally here!

The errata of The Ultimate History of Video Games by Steven Kent. Took me a few years (cough) but its many errors are now compiled for your perusal.

I will update this, so let me know of any errors you spot.
