This little watercolor is by our father Percy Cabot of Houston, Texas. The model is our cousin Madeleine Whitecrow Ashe, who, as MW Ashe, is the author of 4 well-researched historical novels: Scouting for the Texians, Little Durango, Cries in her Sleep, and Autobiography of Bat Masterson.

This little watercolor is by our father Percy Cabot of Houston, Texas. The model is our cousin Madeleine Whitecrow Ashe, who, as MW Ashe, is the author of 4 well-researched historical novels: Scouting for the Texians, Little Durango, Cries in her Sleep, and Autobiography of Bat Masterson.
As we mentioned before, we come from a family of fine-art models. This is our Auntie, the sister of our late mother. Auntie's birth name is Blanca Miranda Cuervo. Her nickname is Dusty, and her literary pseudonym is Miranda Whitecrow. She is the author of a couple of books and several short stories.
