We were fortunate- my father-in-law charged the beach on the second wave of soldiers & survived. He was a hard man on his sons and for some, a tough nut to crack. But I loved him & am so proud of his courage.

We need to hit corporate America where it hurts. I will not be shopping tomorrow and I have already reduced my Amazon/Target/Walmart purchases in preparation for additional boycotts.

We have quite menagerie outside. Lots of finches, juncos, doves and jays, plus a lovely group of Anna’s Hummingbirds. The three feeders & lots of dive bombs!

She was 9 lbs and would command the whole bed. We’d be clinging to the edges & she’d be stretched out.

Rescues are the best. Our girl crawled up to the door in the rain. She was probably dumped nearby. She was ours for 19 years!
