I think it would be very hard for me to give up the benefits of oled as much as I want this, so I hope support is figured out.

I would also love this generalized in a standard size tv so I can hook up a retrotink to it.

Have you tried emulating games and comparing side by side with a crt?

I like playing games where I’m going to get the best experience. Sometimes that’s on a desktop, sometimes it’s laying down with a handheld, other times it’s a console.

I don’t think a steam machine is best at any anything, so it’s hard to say what price I’d pay. $600 would make find a reason.

What if, instead, you played the movie on both screens at the same time?

I was going to say the same thing. It's such an aggressive feeling game by the midway point on.

How many games would someone have to play a month for this to be worth it over just buying them? $17 already seemed pretty high to me based on what I play. This is an even harder sell to people on PC where game sales are so frequent.

It's situations like this that make me question: Why did I "upgrade" my PS5 to a PS5 Pro.

I've held off playing until this patch came out, but I'm still on the fence on whether I should play with path tracing or not. I want to frame gen to 240hz, but am worried that the base frame rate with path tracing might be low enough that I notice the added latency.

It’s only a matter of time before this “debate” will be put to bed. I don’t think I’ve seen a single developer against the use of RT; only arm chair devs like this.

Is this much different from games that don’t run on the prior generation console? Ray tracing capable cards came out nearly 8 years ago…

I’m glad it’s running great! I’d love to jump in this weekend, but I might want wait for path tracing support.

I hate to be the one to explain the joke, but it's funny because it's not clear where the gameplay is in the trailer, so the joke is that it's going to be a bunch of stitched together cutscenes like Dragon's Lair.

This looks really great! Is there any reason why I shouldn’t sell my Mister stack and pick one up?

This reminds me of the Trials maps I use to play with friends in Unreal Tournament 2004.

I planed to buy a gcompsw sometime this year to expand beyond what I have in my gscartsw, but I just couldn’t pass this up. It’s way too cool.

I think that a lot of people just view ray tracing as something that hurts performance for very little visual gain.

It’s hard to blame the average gamer since rasterized lighting has done a good job up to this point and people are accustomed to looking past the flaws.

Well there goes ~$400 I wasn’t planning on spending.

The FAQ says that transcoding modules are in development, so that’s good. I have a gscartsw and have been planning to go your exact route with chaining the gcompsw with a comp2rgb. I’m unsure what my best option will be once those transcoding modules are out.

Man this looks so cool, but I’m not sure it’s the best option for me. Can this do dual output?

I currently output my consoles to a pvm and retrotink through a gscartsw. I’ve been considering chaining a gcompsw with a comp2rgb to expand.
