Weirdly, if you receive a LinkedIn connection request at one email address, and it's not the one you use with LinkedIn, you can still connect with it. It feels like a privacy issue on LinkedIn's part.
So thanks to LinkedIn and a weird loophole, we now both know about each others' RLs.

Just a thought: I had a LinkedIn connection request from a wall known SL resident (not a Linden though) who has interviewed me. I suspect it was due to then having my email address for the purpose (though I couldn't be identified by that) and then allowing LinkedIn to scan their contacts.

I'm glad it wasn't just me who was confused by this.

Employers (and no doubt some universities too) already use admin staff to do a first pass on applications, filtering out by keyword rather than content. I'm not sure this is any worse - though both are bad of course.

München did this 20 years or so ago. They've since reverted to Microsoft; the fact that Microsoft invested a lot of money in the area might not be a coincidence.

I think it's important to say that this doesn't apply to everyone. An imbalance of electrolytes can be dangerous, and for certain people (e.g. heart issues, certain medicines) they should definitely take medical advice before trying to increase potassium levels.
