The rare occasion where I can actually see an author on tv and say “oh yeah, I’ve read his book and it was really great”. Not because authors don’t show up on tv to promote their books, but because I only read 3 or 4 a year.

I was introduced to him in a similar fashion. I went to a music fest to see The Avett Brothers and he was the act that preceded them. He was amazing live and his albums have been a great addition to my collection.
