Because frankly, self-interest is the only thing that’ll get like 90% of these people to actually stand up for what’s right

White upper-middle class cis americans need to know, and experience first-hand, that their lives and families and comfort are *also* at stake, not just ours

before that these conservative freaks aren’t just hurting minorities, but they’re hurting your average everyday person as well

The common folk need to learn that republicans are the enemies. That they aren’t just ruining the lives of minorities, but even those of people who thought they were safe

Not to mention, if the organization *does* fold as a result of having to use all their funds on legal battles, *and* they’ve made it clear to everyone EXACTLY WHY they’ll have to shutter, they’ll have successfully convinced an entire group of girls and parents who were indifferent to these attacks
