8/ #Russian #propaganda thrives on non-precise comparisons

💬 Georgians are still protesting peacefully. We are not seeing violence from the protesters. It's the propaganda that tries to portray Georgian protests as violent but it's not the case.

7/ Why comparisons with 🇺🇦 Euromaidan aren’t always helpful

💬 Katie: Drawing direct parallels ignores the nuances of Georgia’s history and context. These are not copycat protests but the next chapter of our struggle for sovereignty since the #RoseRevolution.

6/ Why comparisons with 🇺🇦 Euromaidan aren’t always helpful

💬 Anna: It's hard not to draw parallels when #GeorgianDream is doing everything what Yanukovych did. But Georgians are culturally, strategically different from Ukrainians. I'm sure we will have our own unique voice in the whole process.

4/ 💬 Anna: Georgians have protested before, but this time, it’s pure, legitimate anger of the people who are protesting against illegitimate government's decision to take away their 🇪🇺 future The people won’t let the government drag us back into #Russia ’s orbit.

3/ 💬 Katie: We are living in a classical, pure dystopian regime, authoritarian regime, where even the teenagers are kidnaped by the police forces, by riot police from the streets. We are living in a regime which is a doppelganger of #Putin 's and #Lukashenko 's regime.

2/ What drives the #protests in #Georgia 🇬🇪?

💬 Katie: These demonstrations during all the days, in spite of brutality from the government, beating, arresting the activists, they can't stop it because they are leaded by the very important idea, and the leader is the civil society.
