Will Helen be back?

Funny and clever. She's brill.

I gave up on the Guardian. I found I was mindlessly scrolling to the bottom and hadn't taken anything in. So I would go back to the top and try again. Same thing. So, I'd really focus and try again to find a story to engage with and find myself at the bottom again. Hopeless.

Really appreciate the gratuitous use of Andress photos in this thread. Thanks lads.

Please don't let it be Stephen Fry. Please don't let it be Stephen Fry. Please don't let it be Stephen Fry. Please don't let it be Stephen Fry. Please don't let it be Stephen Fry. Please don't let it be Stephen Fry. Please don't let it be Stephen Fry.

Helen Lewis. Done.

I gave you stick for coherence in the last article I read of yours. This was excellent. Well done. My only beef is putting your words in the mouths of supporters if you aren't one, as you did at the end there. Otherwise full marks.

Couldn't agree more. It's the joke I always recall when I think of Cheers.

You did football!

Thanks for that, Dorian. Just finished White Lotus and was thinking how amazing she was. Very subtle, nuanced performance. Will watch the other series' you recommended now.

There should be stickers with the word 'before' instead for those poor Tesla owners.

Should there be a colon after 'thing'? ;)

It's that kind of fucking inane shit that divides people. There are hundreds of reasons why people might not leave X so fucking grow up.

You could put a circle around the whole thing and say 'live in London'

Pushed Antonio's qualities aside? The manager wasn't inspiring the supporters or the players? The supporters wanted to blame the players or the manager? 'Powerless horror wiped across his face'?

Sorry. Wasn't a personal attack. But stepping stones quite famously don't sink. And Moyes excelled at defensive disorganisation? 'That cripples' paragraph I had to read several times before I understood it, and it isn't true anyway.

I think I generally agree with your points but that was one of the most incoherent articles I've read from a journalist. There were one or two paragraphs that I couldn't make head or tail of. Don't they employ editors at the i anymore?

'Breath of fresh air' is the phrase that kept floating around my head last night. And I think it's the first time I've ever clapped a West Ham manager's substitutions. He brought AC and OS on just as we were getting overwhelmed. It broke their momentum up and shored us up really well.

Great, well written postmortem. Covers just about everything.

Bad Sisters - 1st or 2nd series? Liked 1, not seen 2.
